About the Role
Our client, a pioneering company in the Energy sector, is seeking a talented Remote Grid Modernization Engineer to contribute to the development and implementation of next-generation electricity grids. This fully remote role will focus on analyzing grid performance, identifying areas for improvement, and designing solutions that enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. You will work with state-of-the-art technologies and data analytics to support the integration of renewable energy sources and smart grid functionalities across the UK. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze grid data to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for modernization.
- Design and evaluate solutions for upgrading grid infrastructure, including smart grid technologies and distributed energy resources.
- Develop technical specifications for new grid equipment and control systems.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external partners on project implementation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in grid modernization .
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and project proposals.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a specialization in power systems.
- Proven experience in power systems engineering, with a focus on grid operations or modernization.
- Familiarity with smart grid technologies , SCADA systems, and energy management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and simulation tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage project tasks effectively in a remote environment .
