About the Role
Our client, a leading architectural practice with a specialized focus on healthcare facilities, is seeking an experienced Remote Healthcare Architect . This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to critical projects from anywhere within the UK . You will be responsible for designing state-of-the-art healthcare environments that meet the complex needs of patients, medical staff, and healthcare providers. This role demands a deep understanding of healthcare planning, regulatory compliance, and the unique challenges associated with medical facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of specialized healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and research centres.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant healthcare regulations, standards (e.g., HTM, HBN), and accessibility requirements.
- Collaborate closely with medical professionals, engineers, and specialist consultants to define functional and operational needs.
- Develop detailed architectural plans, elevations, sections, and specifications for healthcare projects.
- Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for new healthcare developments or refurbishments.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient delivery of healthcare architectural services.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years specializing in healthcare architecture.
- In-depth knowledge of UK healthcare design standards (HTM, HBN) and operational requirements.
- Proficiency in BIM software (Revit) and other relevant architectural design and visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of medical equipment integration, infection control principles, and patient flow optimization.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
