About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Engineer to join their fully remote team, supporting operations across various sites with a primary focus on efficiency gains from their Newcastle upon Tyne operational hub. This role is crucial for driving innovation in process improvement and operational excellence from a distance. You will leverage technology and advanced analytical techniques to design, implement, and sustain optimized workflows and systems, ensuring maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness without the need for physical presence on-site, working collaboratively with distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement optimized manufacturing and operational processes remotely, focusing on efficiency and cost reduction.
• Utilize data analytics and simulation software to model process improvements and predict outcomes.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new and existing processes.
• Collaborate effectively with on-site operational teams, management, and other stakeholders via virtual communication channels.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements relevant to operational efficiency and implement them where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience as an Industrial Engineer.
• Demonstrated expertise in process optimization , lean principles, and workflow analysis.
• Strong proficiency with relevant engineering software, including simulation tools and data analysis platforms.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to work autonomously.
• Experience in a remote or distributed work environment is highly advantageous.
