About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Remote Mine Safety Inspector to join their team, supporting operations across various sites with a focus on their needs around Brighton . This role is essential for ensuring that all mining activities are conducted with the highest safety standards, remotely monitoring compliance and conducting virtual inspections. You will play a crucial role in developing and enforcing safety protocols, identifying potential hazards, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization. Your expertise will be vital in preventing accidents and ensuring the well-being of all personnel, regardless of their physical location, through effective remote oversight and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive mine safety programs and procedures.
- Conduct remote risk assessments and identify potential safety hazards in mining operations.
- Review safety reports, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.
- Deliver safety training and awareness programs virtually to site personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Liaise with site management and regulatory bodies regarding safety matters.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Safety Inspector or Safety Manager in the mining industry.
- Deep understanding of mining hazards, safety protocols, and relevant legislation.
- Experience with remote monitoring tools and virtual inspection techniques.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage safety initiatives effectively from a remote location, supporting sites near East Sussex .
