About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Network Installation Specialist to join their fully remote technical operations team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance and support for the installation and configuration of network infrastructure for clients, working entirely from your home office. You will be instrumental in ensuring seamless connectivity and robust network performance for our diverse customer base, collaborating closely with on-site technicians and customer IT departments via virtual channels. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of modern networking technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical assistance for the installation, setup, and configuration of network hardware and software.
- Develop clear, step-by-step installation guides and documentation for clients and field technicians.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues remotely, diagnosing and resolving problems effectively.
- Collaborate with customer IT teams and on-site engineers to ensure successful deployment and integration.
- Monitor network performance post-installation and recommend optimization strategies.
- Stay current with emerging network technologies and best practices to provide informed support.
Requirements
- Proven experience in network installation, configuration, and support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing protocols.
- Experience with various network hardware vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Ubiquiti).
- Excellent remote troubleshooting skills and proficiency with remote access tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear technical explanations.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines in a remote setting.
