About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and self-motivated Remote Network Installation Specialist to join their expanding technical support and deployment team. In this fully remote role, you will be instrumental in guiding clients through the setup and configuration of network hardware and infrastructure from a distance. Leveraging your expertise in network protocols and troubleshooting, you will ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance for users across various locations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly to our client's robust Installation & Maintenance services while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy of a remote -first position, supporting clients nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical assistance and guidance for the installation of network hardware, including routers, switches, and access points.
- Conduct virtual site surveys and needs assessments to plan network deployments effectively.
- Guide clients through the configuration of network devices, software, and security settings via phone and video calls.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and performance problems remotely, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for installation procedures and client network configurations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth client onboarding and support experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in network installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in a remote capacity.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and common network protocols.
- Familiarity with various networking hardware from leading manufacturers.
- Excellent remote communication skills, including phone, email, and video conferencing.
- Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A dedicated home office space with a reliable high-speed internet connection is mandatory.
