Remote Senior Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Process Engineer to join their globally distributed engineering team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of chemical and physical processes for various oil and gas applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of process simulation, P&ID development, and equipment specification, contributing to innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and safety for our client's international operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize process designs, including creating and reviewing P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
• Perform process simulations and calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus) to evaluate performance and identify improvements.
• Specify process equipment, such as pumps, heat exchangers, and reactors, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and safety standards.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and support the implementation of safety recommendations.
• Provide technical support to project teams, operations, and maintenance personnel on process-related issues, working effectively in a remote setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, ideally within the oil and gas , petrochemical, or chemical processing industries.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and P&ID development tools.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, crucial for success in a remote work environment.
