About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Remote Telecoms Network Administrator to manage and maintain their vital network infrastructure. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute significantly to our client's operations from the comfort of your home office, primarily supporting operations linked to Edinburgh . You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our client's telecommunications network, ensuring its optimal performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, latency, and bandwidth problems.
• Implement network security measures, including access controls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Manage network backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
• Provide remote technical support to users and other IT teams for telecom network related issues.
• Stay updated on network technologies and best practices to recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator, with a focus on telecommunications networks .
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing protocols.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and network security principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote setting .
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA are highly desirable.
