About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Remote Telecoms Network Administrator to manage and maintain their robust telecommunications infrastructure. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK . You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and optimization of our client's network, ensuring seamless connectivity and service delivery. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of networking principles, crucial for supporting a dispersed workforce and client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain all aspects of the company's telecommunications network, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VoIP systems.
• Monitor network performance using various tools, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively.
• Implement network security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Provide remote technical support to end-users for network-related problems.
• Manage network upgrades, patches, and configuration changes, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers as needed to resolve complex issues and manage services.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar network operations role, preferably in the telecoms sector.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware configuration and management tools.
• Familiarity with network security best practices and firewalls.
• Excellent remote troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
