Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join their team, supporting operations from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for monitoring network performance, responding to incidents, and implementing solutions to maintain high levels of service availability. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the health and performance of the telecom network 24/7 using advanced network management systems.
- Respond promptly and effectively to network alerts and incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Execute routine network maintenance tasks, including software updates, configuration changes, and system health checks.
- Document all network activities, incidents, and resolutions accurately and comprehensively.
- Collaborate remotely with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex network issues and ensure service continuity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in network operations or a similar network support role, with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of common network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly in a remote setting.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain composure under pressure, supporting the network operations for clients across the UK.
