About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join their 24/7 network operations center team. This fully remote position is vital for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the company's extensive telecommunications network infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring network stability, identifying potential issues before they impact service, and responding effectively to incidents. This role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the critical responsibility of supporting a high-availability network for clients nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor network performance and availability using sophisticated network management tools.
Respond promptly and effectively to network alarms and alerts, diagnosing and resolving issues.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, configuration updates, and system health checks.
Collaborate with other technical teams to escalate and resolve complex network problems.
Document network events, resolutions, and operational procedures accurately.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of network operations processes and tools.

Requirements

Experience in network operations, monitoring, or a similar technical support role within the telecoms industry .
Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SNMP) and network hardware.
Proficiency with network monitoring software and diagnostic tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially under pressure.
Excellent communication skills for effective remote collaboration and incident reporting, supporting the Wolverhampton region and beyond.
