Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute complex multi-step synthetic routes for target molecules.
- Purify and characterize newly synthesized compounds using techniques such as NMR, Mass Spectrometry, and HPLC.
- Troubleshoot synthetic challenges and optimize reaction conditions for yield and purity.
- Conduct literature searches to identify relevant synthetic methodologies and precedents.
- Collaborate effectively with computational chemists, biologists, and other research scientists in a remote setting.
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory notebooks and research reports.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a related field.
- Proven experience in synthetic organic chemistry, including a strong understanding of reaction mechanisms and modern synthetic methods.
- Proficiency with purification and analytical techniques (e.g., NMR , MS, HPLC, GC).
- Ability to design and execute independent research projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach to synthetic challenges.
