Retail Stock Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and methodical Retail Stock Controller to manage inventory effectively at their Stoke-on-Trent store. This role is essential for maintaining accurate stock levels, minimizing losses, and ensuring that products are available for customers. You will be responsible for all aspects of stock management, from receiving goods to conducting regular audits, ensuring the smooth operation of the retail floor and back-of-house in Stoke-on-Trent .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the accurate receiving, checking, and recording of all incoming stock.
• Implement and maintain efficient stock management systems to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts, identifying discrepancies and investigating their causes.
• Manage stock movement, including transfers between stores and processing returns.
• Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving items, and report on stock performance.
• Implement measures to prevent stock loss due to damage, theft, or errors.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Stock Controller or inventory management role within retail is essential.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
