Retail Stock Controller

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and organized Retail Stock Controller to manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy within their operations in Reading . This role is critical for maintaining efficient stock flow, minimizing losses, and ensuring products are available to meet customer demand. The hybrid nature of this position allows for hands-on stock management in-store and remote analysis of inventory data and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of stock management, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and stock audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Implement and maintain effective stock control procedures to minimize shrinkage and waste.
• Analyze stock data to forecast demand, optimize stock levels, and prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Collaborate with store management and purchasing teams to ensure efficient inventory replenishment.
• Investigate and resolve any stock-related issues or discrepancies reported from the Reading location.

Requirements

• Previous experience in stock control , inventory management, or a similar logistics role.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and data analysis tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both on-site and remotely.
