School Administrator – Solihull
Location: Solihull Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:00pm, Friday 8:00am–3:30pm Contract: Temporary Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Administrator to join a school in Solihull.
The successful candidate must have previous experience working within a school environment and be confident using Bromcom. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school administrator looking for a new role within a busy and supportive school setting.
Key Responsibilities
Providing day-to-day administrative support to the school Managing pupil and school records Updating and maintaining information accurately on Bromcom Supporting attendance administration and monitoring Dealing with telephone and email enquiries from parents, staff and external agencies Preparing letters, documents and general correspondence Supporting the wider school team with administrative tasks Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information Assisting with the smooth running of the school office Undertaking any other reasonable administrative duties as required
Essential Requirements
Previous experience working within a school environment – essential Bromcom experience – essential Excellent administration and organisational skills Strong communication skills Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy school environment Professional, friendly and approachable manner Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Safeguarding & Vetting
As this is a school-based position, all candidates will be required to complete the necessary recruitment and safeguarding checks, including:
Minimum of 2 employer references covering the previous 24 months If you have not worked with children previously, 3 references will be required Any employment gaps will require a professional character reference Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred; otherwise, candidates must be willing to obtain a new Enhanced DBS Right to Work documentation 2 proofs of address – utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months, or council tax dated within the last 12 months Proof of National Insurance number Proof of any name changes, where applicable Overseas police check if the candidate has lived outside the UK for more than 6 months Completion of our online mandatory training courses, provided free of charge Hours: 8:00am–4:00pm Monday–Thursday / 8:00am–3:30pm Friday
