About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior 3D Modeler to join their esteemed art department in Liverpool . In this crucial on-site role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D models for characters, props, and environments that bring their ambitious entertainment projects to life. You will work closely with the art director and the wider art team to ensure artistic consistency and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Create high-poly and low-poly 3D models for characters, props, and environments according to project specifications.
• Develop detailed textures and materials that align with the artistic vision and style guides.
• Optimize models for performance, ensuring efficient polygon counts and UV layouts for real-time rendering.
• Collaborate with the art director and technical artists to troubleshoot and resolve modeling-related issues.
• Ensure consistency and quality across all 3D assets produced by the team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest 3D modeling techniques and software advancements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a 3D Modeler in the game development or VFX industry.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D modeling software such as Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, and Blender.
• Strong understanding of hard-surface modeling and organic sculpting techniques.
• Experience with texturing software like Substance Painter and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of PBR workflows and game engine requirements (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional modeling skills and attention to detail.
