About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Automotive Electronics Engineer to join their advanced technology team in Norwich, Norfolk, UK . This role will focus on the design, development, and integration of electronic systems for modern vehicles, including infotainment, connectivity, and control modules. You will work with cutting-edge hardware and software, ensuring that electronic components meet rigorous performance, safety, and reliability standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic hardware for automotive applications, including PCB layout, component selection, and schematic capture.
- Perform system-level integration of electronic modules, ensuring compatibility with other vehicle systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of electronic components and systems, including EMC/EMI testing and environmental testing.
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software co-design and integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electronic issues encountered during development, testing, or production.
- Stay current with emerging trends in automotive electronics, such as electrification and advanced sensor technologies.
Requirements
- Significant experience in automotive electronics engineering , with a strong focus on hardware design.
- Proficiency with electronic design automation (EDA) tools for schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).
- Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures, embedded systems, and power electronics.
- Experience with automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Knowledge of automotive functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity principles.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
