About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automotive Technician specializing in diagnostics to join their flagship workshop in Aberdeen . This is a critical role where you will be responsible for troubleshooting complex vehicle issues, ensuring the highest standards of repair and customer satisfaction. You will work with a diverse range of modern vehicles, utilizing cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and techniques to identify and resolve faults efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics on a variety of vehicle makes and models, identifying root causes of complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Utilize specialized diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, and scan tools to interpret vehicle data and pinpoint faults.
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
- Repair and replace faulty components, ensuring all work is carried out to manufacturer standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed service records, documenting all findings and repairs performed.
- Mentor junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices in diagnostics and repair.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Automotive Technician or Diagnostic Specialist.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or a related field.
- Expertise in using automotive diagnostic software and hardware.
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, engine management, and emission control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving license is essential.
