About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automotive Technician to join their busy workshop in Aberdeen . This is a critical role responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to the highest standards. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a passion for automotive excellence, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic garage environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex diagnostic procedures on vehicle engines, transmissions, and electrical systems using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Repair and replace faulty automotive parts, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within specified timeframes.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent, using the garage's management system.
- Advise customers on the condition of their vehicles and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Mentor junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices within the workshop.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician , with a strong understanding of modern vehicle technology.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software and electronic fault finding.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A valid UK driving license is essential.
- Experience with specific vehicle makes or commercial vehicles is a plus.
