Senior Bioinformatician

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data (genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics).
• Perform statistical analysis and data mining on large biological datasets to identify patterns and correlations.
• Collaborate with biologists and other researchers to define analytical requirements and interpret results.
• Develop visualizations and reports to effectively communicate findings to scientific audiences.
• Contribute to the development of novel analytical methods and software tools.
• Ensure data integrity, reproducibility, and adherence to best practices in bioinformatics.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in bioinformatics analysis, with a strong focus on NGS data.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl, and experience with R for statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with standard bioinformatics tools, databases, and algorithms.
• Experience with cloud computing environments and version control (e.g., Git) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
