About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Chemical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Leicester . Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and scale up new chemical processes from laboratory to pilot and full production stages.
- Optimize existing chemical manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
- Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement safety improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, R&D, and quality control, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement effective solutions to maintain operational efficiency.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in process design, optimization, and scale-up.
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Experience with process safety management (PSM) principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
