About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Chemical Plant Engineer to oversee the operational integrity and continuous improvement of their manufacturing facility in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK . Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the day-to-day operations of the chemical plant, ensuring high levels of productivity and safety.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of plant equipment and systems, minimizing downtime.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.
• Conduct thorough investigations into process deviations, incidents, and near misses, implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure strict adherence to all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and management teams to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in plant operations and engineering within the chemical manufacturing industry.
• Proven expertise in process safety management (PSM) and hazard analysis techniques.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical integrity, asset management, and maintenance strategies.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with control systems and instrumentation in a plant environment is essential.
