Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate settlement of complex insurance claims, including liability and damages assessment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claim activities, communications, and decisions within the claims management system.
- Liaise with policyholders, legal representatives, witnesses, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve disputes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance regulations, company policies, and best practices throughout the claims handling process.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior adjusters, assisting them with challenging case strategies and best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports on claim findings, settlement recommendations, and reserve analyses for management review.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Claims Adjuster, with a strong track record of managing complex cases.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, claims procedures, and relevant legal frameworks within the UK.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations effectively.
- Proficiency in claims management software and standard office applications.
- A degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant professional certifications in insurance adjusting are highly desirable.
