Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate complex insurance claims, determining coverage and liability.
- Manage a caseload of high-value and potentially litigated claims, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
- Conduct thorough reviews of policy documents, police reports, medical records, and other relevant evidence.
- Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, legal representatives, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for claim settlements, and authorize payments within established authority limits.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior claims adjusters, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Claims Adjuster , with a minimum of 5 years handling complex casualty or property claims.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, relevant legislation, and claims handling best practices.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and standard office applications.
- Relevant professional certifications or qualifications in insurance adjusting are highly desirable.
