About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly imaginative and skilled Senior Concept Artist to join their creative studio in Stoke-on-Trent . In this role, you will be responsible for generating visually compelling concept art that defines the look and feel of our projects, including characters, environments, and props. You will work closely with the art director and design teams to explore visual ideas, establish art direction, and create detailed artwork that guides the production pipeline. We are looking for an artist with a strong foundation in art fundamentals and the ability to translate abstract ideas into tangible visual concepts.

Key Responsibilities

Develop original concept art for characters, environments, props, and key art, adhering to project briefs and art direction.
Explore multiple visual directions and iterate rapidly based on feedback from the art director and design teams.
Create detailed sketches, paintings, and potentially 3D mock-ups to communicate ideas effectively.
Collaborate with 3D modelers, texture artists, and other team members to ensure concepts are accurately translated into final assets.
Maintain a high level of artistic quality and contribute to the overall visual identity of the projects.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience as a Concept Artist in the game, film, or animation industry.
A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional drawing, painting, and design skills.
Proficiency with digital art software such as Photoshop, Procreate, or Corel Painter.
Solid understanding of anatomy, perspective, color theory, and composition.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
