About the Role

Our client seeks a highly imaginative and skilled Senior Concept Artist to contribute to groundbreaking projects in Sunderland . You will play a crucial role in defining the visual direction and aesthetics of new IPs, bringing worlds, characters, and props to life through compelling concept art. This position is ideal for an artist who excels at visual storytelling and can translate abstract ideas into tangible, inspiring designs within the Arts & Entertainment industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality concept art for characters, environments, props, and key art, adhering to project briefs and art direction.
• Collaborate closely with game designers, art directors, and modelers to iterate on designs and ensure feasibility.
• Develop detailed sketches, polished illustrations, and mood pieces to communicate visual ideas effectively.
• Research and gather visual references to inform design choices and maintain artistic integrity.
• Contribute to the overall visual style and aesthetic of projects.
• Mentor junior concept artists and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Concept Artist with a diverse and strong portfolio showcasing exceptional artistic talent.
• Proficiency in industry-standard digital painting software such as Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, or Clip Studio Paint.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, color theory, and composition.
• Ability to create designs across various styles, from realistic to stylized.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively within a team.
• Passion for the Arts & Entertainment field and a keen eye for detail.
