About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Concept Artist to join their innovative Arts & Entertainment division. This role is pivotal in defining the visual identity and aesthetics of groundbreaking projects, contributing to immersive worlds and unforgettable characters. You will be instrumental in shaping the creative direction, collaborating with a dynamic team of artists, designers, and directors to bring imaginative concepts to life. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work from anywhere within the UK, contributing your unique artistic vision to projects that reach a global audience, within a culture that champions creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and create high-quality character designs, environment art, props, and mood pieces that align with project art direction.
- Develop and maintain visual style guides and reference materials for internal and external art teams.
- Collaborate closely with 3D modelers, animators, and game designers to ensure artistic integrity throughout the production pipeline.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to junior concept artists, fostering a collaborative and supportive artistic environment.
- Research industry trends, artistic techniques, and emerging technologies to continually elevate the quality and innovation of the artwork produced.
- Present visual ideas and concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine designs.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience as a Concept Artist , with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional artistic skills and a diverse range of styles.
- Proficiency in industry-standard digital art software such as Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, and other relevant tools.
- Deep understanding of art fundamentals, including composition, color theory, anatomy, perspective, and lighting.
- Experience in character design, environmental design, and prop design for entertainment media.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
