About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to enhance their security operations center in Norwich, Norfolk, UK . This role involves advanced threat detection, incident response, and proactive security measures to protect against sophisticated cyber threats. You will analyze complex security events, develop new detection methodologies, and mentor junior analysts, playing a key role in strengthening the organization's defenses and ensuring the resilience of its digital infrastructure against an ever-evolving threat landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the investigation and analysis of complex security incidents and threats.
- Develop and tune advanced detection rules and signatures for SIEM and other security tools.
- Perform threat hunting activities to proactively identify potential security breaches.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the cybersecurity team.
- Contribute to the development of incident response plans and playbooks.
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat detection and incident response .
- Expertise in SIEM tools, network traffic analysis, and malware analysis.
- Strong understanding of adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
