About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior DeFi Engineer to join their pioneering team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK, with a strong emphasis on collaborative development in the decentralized finance space. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining sophisticated financial protocols and applications on the blockchain. As a key member of our Crypto & Blockchain division, you will contribute to innovative projects that are shaping the future of finance, driving the adoption of decentralized solutions from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust and secure decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and smart contracts.
• Implement complex financial algorithms and logic within blockchain environments.
• Optimize existing DeFi applications for performance, security, and user experience.
• Collaborate remotely with a distributed team of engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Conduct thorough testing, security audits, and deploy smart contracts to various blockchain networks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on DeFi and smart contract development (Solidity preferred).
• Deep understanding of financial markets, economic incentives, and blockchain technology .
• Proven experience building and deploying successful DeFi protocols or applications.
• Familiarity with Web3 development tools, frameworks, and best practices for remote collaboration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for innovation in finance.
