Senior DeFi Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DeFi Engineer to join their innovative team in Plymouth . This hybrid role involves designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge decentralized finance (DeFi) products and protocols. You will be at the forefront of innovation, working with smart contracts, blockchain technologies, and financial primitives to build secure and scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test high-quality smart contracts for various DeFi applications, including lending, borrowing, and trading platforms.
• Implement and optimize tokenomics, yield farming strategies, and automated market makers (AMMs).
• Ensure the security and robustness of DeFi protocols through rigorous code reviews and audits.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate complex financial concepts into user-friendly dApps.
• Integrate with existing blockchain infrastructure and third-party DeFi protocols.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical roadmap of the DeFi product suite.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on DeFi development and smart contracts.
• Proficiency in Solidity and experience with relevant development frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle).
• Deep understanding of DeFi concepts, including AMMs, liquidity pools, staking, and yield farming.
• Experience with security best practices for smart contracts and DeFi protocols.
• Knowledge of blockchain architecture and decentralized systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Plymouth .
