About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Educational Psychologist to join their dedicated team, supporting educational institutions across the region, with a primary focus on roles serving Wolverhampton and surrounding areas. This senior position involves providing expert psychological assessment, consultation, and intervention to support the learning, emotional, and behavioural needs of children and young people. You will play a crucial role in advising schools, parents, and other professionals on best practices for supporting pupils with complex needs, contributing to the development of inclusive educational environments through evidence-based practice and collaborative partnerships. This is a leadership opportunity for a seasoned professional dedicated to improving outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of children and young people to identify learning, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
- Provide expert consultation and advice to schools, parents, and other professionals on complex cases.
- Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies and support plans.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programmes for educational staff.
- Lead and mentor junior psychologists and contribute to service development initiatives.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology.
- Professional registration with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., HCPC).
- Significant post-qualification experience working with children, young people, and educational settings.
- Expertise in a range of psychological assessment tools and intervention techniques.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
