About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance department on a fully remote basis. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting, compliance, and statutory accounts. You will be instrumental in managing the month-end close process, preparing financial statements, and liaising with auditors, all from the comfort of your own home office. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP or IFRS.
- Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide all necessary supporting documentation.
- Develop and implement improvements to financial processes and systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong background in financial accounting.
- Proven experience in preparing statutory accounts and managing the month-end close process.
- In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS accounting standards.
- Excellent IT skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage deadlines effectively, and communicate clearly in a remote setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
