Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their innovative and forward-thinking team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the geotechnical investigation, analysis, and design for complex mining projects and associated infrastructure.
- Develop and review detailed geotechnical reports, foundation designs, slope stability analyses, and earthworks specifications .
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to a team of geotechnical engineers and technicians remotely.
- Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders to ensure project objectives and geotechnical requirements are met successfully.
- Oversee the quality assurance and control processes for all geotechnical deliverables, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practices.
- Contribute to business development activities by preparing technical proposals and supporting client relationship management efforts.
Requirements
- A Master's degree or higher in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering , with a significant portion focused on the mining sector .
- Proven track record in managing and delivering complex geotechnical projects from inception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of numerical modelling software (e.g., Plaxis, GeoStudio) and CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of UK and international geotechnical design codes and standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a virtual team setting.
