About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Industrial Engineer with a focus on Continuous Improvement to join their team in Reading . This hybrid role allows for flexibility, blending essential on-site engagement with remote work opportunities. You will lead and drive initiatives aimed at optimizing manufacturing and operational processes, reducing waste, and enhancing overall efficiency and productivity. Your expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies will be crucial in developing and implementing innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies across the organization.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste in processes and operations.
- Conduct in-depth process analysis, including value stream mapping and root cause analysis.
- Design and implement optimized manufacturing layouts and workflows.
- Mentor and coach team members on continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on continuous improvement .
- Proven expertise in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and process optimization.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities in a hybrid work environment.
