About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their dedicated industrial engineering department in Reading . This senior position involves overseeing all aspects of industrial engineering operations, driving efficiency improvements, and implementing long-term strategies for operational excellence. You will manage a team of engineers, direct major process improvement projects, and work closely with senior management to align engineering initiatives with business objectives. This is a key leadership role with significant scope for impact and development within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of industrial engineers to achieve departmental goals.
- Develop and implement comprehensive industrial engineering strategies to optimize manufacturing and operational performance.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of complex process improvement projects.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions with business needs.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across the organization.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with at least 3-5 years in a management or leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Master Black Belt preferred), and project management methodologies.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale operational improvement projects and teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
