About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Engineer to join their team in Portsmouth . This role is essential for driving significant improvements in manufacturing processes, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing advanced engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and redesign of manufacturing processes to improve throughput, reduce cycle times, and minimize costs.
- Implement and champion lean manufacturing techniques, including Six Sigma projects, to achieve measurable operational gains.
- Develop detailed process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions, ensuring standardization and best practices across operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Utilize simulation and modeling tools to evaluate process changes and predict their impact on system performance and resource allocation.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex projects, ensuring high standards of engineering practice.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with a strong focus on manufacturing operations.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Green Belt or Black Belt certification).
- Extensive experience with process simulation software and advanced statistical analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
