About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen, Scotland . This role is pivotal in optimizing complex production processes, improving efficiency, and reducing waste across various operational sites. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analysis and engineering principles to enhance productivity and quality. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to blend on-site collaboration with strategic remote work, allowing for flexibility while ensuring critical operational oversight. You will work closely with plant managers, production teams, and quality control specialists to implement innovative solutions that align with the company's strategic goals and maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Develop and implement new engineering designs and workflows to optimize resource allocation, material flow, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard operating procedures and performance benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, R&D, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management regarding process improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Oversee the implementation of new systems and technologies, providing training and support to operational staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in process optimization techniques, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis tools.
- Experience with CAD software and simulation tools for process modeling and design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence teams.
