About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Operations Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh . This pivotal role will focus on driving significant improvements in operational efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction across their industrial facilities. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic operational enhancements. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of large-scale operational improvement projects using advanced industrial engineering techniques.
- Develop and deploy strategies to optimize supply chain logistics, inventory management, and resource allocation.
- Implement and champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies across operational departments.
- Conduct detailed feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed operational changes and investments.
- Mentor and guide junior industrial engineers and operational staff, fostering a culture of excellence and skill development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies into existing operations.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a closely related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in industrial operations engineering , with a strong emphasis on leadership and project management.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement frameworks.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, simulation software, and data visualization tools.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from conception through to successful implementation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence at all levels.
