About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Reading . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex mechanical systems and products.
- Perform advanced engineering calculations, including structural analysis, thermal analysis, and dynamic simulations using FEA software .
- Oversee the creation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and performance targets are met.
- Mentor and guide junior engineering staff, fostering their technical growth and development.
- Identify opportunities for design improvements, cost reductions, and innovation in mechanical engineering processes.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Expertise in using advanced CAD/CAE tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS, Siemens NX).
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects and managing engineering resources.
- In-depth knowledge of materials science, manufacturing technologies, and testing methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
