Senior Process Safety Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to join their dedicated team, working entirely remotely. This role is paramount in ensuring the highest standards of safety across all our client's energy operations. You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of process safety management systems, conducting rigorous risk assessments and advising on safety-critical elements. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP, LOPA, and FMEA.
• Develop and implement robust process safety management (PSM) programs and procedures.
• Conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses, ensuring lessons learned are embedded.
• Provide expert advice on safety-critical equipment, safety integrity levels (SIL), and emergency preparedness.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance across all relevant energy facilities .

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process safety engineering , preferably within the energy sector.
• In-depth knowledge of major accident hazard regulations and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to influence at all levels.
