Senior Reservoir Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a leading operator in the North Sea, is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their esteemed team in Aberdeen . This critical role involves evaluating and developing hydrocarbon reserves, optimizing production strategies, and contributing to the long-term asset management of key fields. You will work within a dynamic multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling teams to maximize economic recovery. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reservoir characterization and performance analysis using advanced simulation software.
• Develop and implement optimized field development plans and production strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
• Perform decline curve analysis, material balance calculations, and reserves estimation for company assets.
• Identify and evaluate new exploration and development opportunities, including technical and economic feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and production engineers to integrate reservoir data and insights.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and joint venture partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering , with a strong focus on offshore operations.
• Proficiency in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel RE, Eclipse, Tempest).
• Demonstrated experience in reserves estimation (PRMS guidelines) and economic evaluation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex geological and engineering data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
