About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Aberdeen . This critical role involves optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from existing fields and evaluating potential new ventures. You will leverage advanced simulation techniques and production data analysis to maximize asset value and ensure efficient resource management. This position offers the chance to work on challenging projects within the North Sea, contributing directly to the company's strategic objectives in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, supported by a team dedicated to innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models to forecast production and evaluate development scenarios.
- Analyze production data and well performance to identify opportunities for optimization and enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
- Conduct economic evaluations and risk assessments for field development and asset management projects.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to management, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with drilling, production, and geosciences teams to ensure integrated field development planning.
- Mentor junior reservoir engineers and contribute to the team's technical development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in reservoir engineering , preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven proficiency with reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel RE, ECLIPSE, CMG).
- Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid flow, and well test analysis .
- Experience with data analysis and performance monitoring tools.
- Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
