About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dynamic team based in the heart of the North Sea oil and gas hub , Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves advanced reservoir characterization, performance monitoring, and developing optimal production strategies for complex fields. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reservoir simulation studies and uncertainty analysis to forecast production and optimize field development plans.
- Develop and implement Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) strategies and techniques to improve ultimate recovery factors.
- Analyze well performance data, identify production issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling engineers to ensure integrated field management.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the knowledge sharing within the reservoir engineering discipline.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Proficiency in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Petrel RE) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir rock and fluid properties, geological modeling , and production logging.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex reservoirs and developing successful field development plans.
