About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their dedicated team based in Belfast . This role is integral to the strategic management and optimisation of oil and gas assets, involving detailed analysis of reservoir performance and the development of effective recovery strategies. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary subsurface team, contributing expertise in reservoir simulation, forecasting, and field development planning to ensure the maximisation of hydrocarbon reserves and asset profitability. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to make a significant impact within a key operational hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed reservoir characterization, including performance analysis, volumetric calculations , and uncertainty assessment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive reservoir management plans to optimize production and ultimate recovery.
- Utilize advanced reservoir simulation software to model fluid flow and predict future reservoir performance.
- Collaborate effectively with geologists, production engineers, and drilling engineers on integrated field development projects.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports and present findings to management and operational teams.
- Monitor reservoir behaviour and recommend proactive strategies for enhancement and problem resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in reservoir engineering , with a strong focus on simulation and analysis.
- Proficiency in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG).
- Solid understanding of reservoir geology , petrophysics, and production data analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Experience in diverse reservoir types and production scenarios is advantageous.
