About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Sourcing Specialist to enhance their procurement function in Reading . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned spend categories.
• Conduct comprehensive market intelligence and supplier landscape analysis.
• Lead negotiations with key suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favourable terms, and innovative solutions.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk, fostering collaborative partnerships.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and process improvements within the sourcing function.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing strategies align with business objectives and operational needs.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management.
• Proven ability to lead complex sourcing projects and deliver significant cost savings.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and financial information.
• Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience with e-sourcing tools and procurement analytics platforms.
• A relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., CIPS) is preferred.
