About the Role
Our client, an innovative architectural practice committed to sustainable design, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Sustainability Architect to lead their environmental design initiatives. Operating in a fully remote capacity, this role is crucial for embedding cutting-edge sustainable practices across all projects undertaken by the firm. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that minimise environmental impact, enhance building performance, and contribute to a greener built environment. This position offers the chance to shape sustainable futures for clients across the UK from the comfort of your home office in Sheffield .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies for architectural projects, aligning with client goals and environmental best practices.
- Conduct energy modelling, life cycle assessments, and environmental impact analyses.
- Advise project teams on sustainable materials, passive design techniques, and renewable energy solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and building certification schemes (e.g., BREEAM, LEED).
- Lead client and stakeholder engagement on sustainability matters, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in sustainable architecture and integrate them into design processes.
Requirements
- Qualified Architect with significant experience focused on sustainable design and environmental performance.
- In-depth knowledge of green building principles , energy efficiency, and renewable energy systems.
- Experience with sustainability assessment tools and building performance simulation software.
- Strong understanding of relevant UK building regulations and environmental legislation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence design teams on sustainability integration.
