About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Telecoms Network Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is critical for the ongoing development and operational excellence of our client's national telecommunications network. You will be instrumental in architecting, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure network solutions from the comfort of your home office. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of the intricacies of modern telecom infrastructures, contributing significantly to the company's strategic growth and service delivery in the competitive telecoms market .
Key Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement complex network solutions for telecommunications services , ensuring scalability, resilience, and high availability.
- Lead the deployment of new network technologies and upgrades, overseeing the entire lifecycle from planning to post-implementation support.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including designs, configurations, and operational procedures for remote teams.
- Proactively monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent service disruptions.
- Collaborate effectively with remote engineering teams, project managers, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives and ensure seamless network operation.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the distributed team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in telecoms network engineering , with a significant focus on network architecture and design.
- Proven expertise in designing and managing large-scale IP networks, including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and switching technologies.
- Strong understanding of DWDM, MPLS, VPNs, and other core telecommunications network technologies.
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex, distributed network environments remotely.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a fully remote work setting.
