About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and empathetic Senior UX Researcher to join their growing product team in Sheffield . You will be at the forefront of understanding user needs, behaviors, and motivations through a variety of research methodologies. Your insights will directly inform product strategy and design decisions, ensuring that our client builds products that are not only functional but also intuitive and delightful to use. This role is ideal for someone passionate about advocating for the user and driving impactful product improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and conduct user research studies using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g., user interviews, usability testing, surveys, diary studies).
- Analyze research data to identify key insights, patterns, and user needs, translating them into actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate user feedback throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Create compelling research reports, personas, journey maps, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and educate teams on the importance of user research.
- Stay current with the latest UX research trends, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a UX Researcher or in a similar user research role.
- Proficiency in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Experience with research tools and platforms (e.g., UserTesting.com, Optimal Workshop, SurveyMonkey).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate research findings clearly and persuasively.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
