About the Role
Our client, a leading digital product development company in Derby , is seeking an accomplished Senior UX Researcher . You will be at the forefront of understanding user needs, behaviours, and motivations to inform product strategy and design decisions. This role involves planning, executing, and analysing a variety of user research studies across different platforms and user groups. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure our products are intuitive, effective, and delightful to use, driving user-centric innovation within the organisation and contributing to the quality of digital experiences for users interacting with services based in Derbyshire .
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research studies, including interviews, surveys, usability tests, and ethnographic research.
- Analyze research data to identify key insights, user pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate research findings into actionable recommendations for product design and strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user insights throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Develop user personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts to communicate user needs effectively.
- Stay abreast of the latest UX research methodologies and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in user experience research, with a strong portfolio showcasing research projects and impact.
- Proficiency in a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Experience with user research tools and platforms (e.g., UserTesting.com, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and advocate for the user.
- Master's or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field is preferred.
