Senior UX Researcher

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior UX Researcher to join their user experience team in Derby . This role is critical in understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations to inform the design and development of intuitive and effective digital products. You will lead research initiatives, employing a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover actionable insights. The ideal candidate is an advocate for the user, possesses strong analytical skills, and excels at communicating research findings to diverse stakeholders, driving a user-centered design approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and conduct user research studies using a variety of methods, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries.
• Analyze research data to identify key user insights, pain points, and opportunities for product improvement.
• Translate research findings into actionable recommendations and present them clearly to product, design, and engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and developers to ensure user needs are met throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to represent user needs and behaviors.
• Contribute to establishing and refining research best practices and methodologies within the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX research or a related field, with a strong portfolio of research projects.
• Proficiency in planning and executing a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Experience with user research tools and platforms (e.g., UserTesting.com, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience working in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating adaptability and collaboration.
